The last decade has been a difficult one for the European Union. In the wake of the 2009 debt crisis, much debate has arisen around its nature, its powers, its governance and its policies.

The situation got only worse when the migrant inflow boomed in 2015, triggering a EU-level crisis and with the latest Brexit situation.

In this strained socio-economic context, and the immigration crisis diverging views on the EU as a polity have emerged at the political level both inside the single member states and inside the organisation’s institutions.

Recently, two events have revived once more the debate. The first is the re-election of Viktor Orban, a prominent conservative and Eurosceptic politician, as Prime Minister of Hungary.

The second is the statement by France’s President Emmanuel Macron that the EU is facing a “civil” on its fundamental values resulting from different opinions between its Western and Central-Eastern members.

In such a turbulent political context, will the EU implode? What will happen to NATO? Economy...is it too integrated to clash?

The EU have created this By trying to rule over every body Removing borders has got to be on the top lists bad idea They knew this alone would help their one government rule  agenda Then trade set by them does not suit every EU members Their is nothing fair in trade Member ship some new EU country's basics they struggled to get in to the EU member ship Once in other EU members had to shear their wealth to support them bad idea As more money was spent to support these poor country's  Then the biggest idea let imagination from none EU member states enter freely into EU country's  This alone will see civil war in the EU which has over stepped the mark and will bring it crashing down

You missed out an important point. The EU's desire to have an EU "defence force" . Basically this is the military force required to exert pressure on non complying countries. No country, State or Alliance has a military force purely for defence, with the possible exception of Switzerland. A "controlling entity" which is what the EU is is never satisfied with purely voluntary acceptance of control. At some point force, or the threat of force, will be applied. History has shown us this over and over. Even now the UN, NATO and the US are using force to depose Middle East elected leaders that fail to follow Western dictates. Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan all had force applied when their elected leaders veered from Western demands.
There is NO reason that a EU military force would not be used similarly against member states that refuse to tow the line the EU dictates.

As Czech citizen I can say in 2003 I was happy we joined something but in 2008 I started to see the problems with it and in 2010-2012 I started to hate EU. Now wouldn't like to leave EU but destroy it because it's just ruining Europe.

A Civil War in Europe? Nah, will not happen. We Europeans are just fine with the unelected EU commission forcing their blindsighted laws made up by enterprise lobbyists on them. We're just fine with the ever increasing costs of the EU. It's ok that the EU can demand ANY amount of money from a nationstate and we have to pay within 7 days. We understand that the EU earns us more money that we would on our own, even when research shows it to be untrue. We would really love a unified army where on division can't communicate with the other because of a language barrier. We are happy that the EU & NATO are provoking Russia. We really want so many communists in the EU parlement. We have no problem with the EU idea that in order to prevent future wars, all the different nationalities need to be bred into a single one. We have no problems with an incompatible ideology forced upon our lives. We're just happy to be called racists when speaking up & critiquing the fuckups we warned the EU about.
Nah, we're completely fine & dandy over here.

P.s. DONT mix up EU with Europe. One is a continent, the other is an elitist unelected organisation capitalising on the people of Europe.
