I've hardly bought items for delivery from Amazon, as I get the same product cheaper and faster direct from the company rather than from Amazon. But, it's not easy to ween off. I've become dependent upon the concept of "instant" gratification. Also, there are so many scams on Amazon, many products that don't work or immediately stop working, and it's become harder and harder to get reliable products and a refund from Amazon as it seems screening products and sellers isn't high priority. Overall, I believe in supporting people and businesses that treat people well and protect the buyer from scams, and Amazon is batting 50% in those areas. Bezos also thanked "us" for sending him to space. They just want your voice profile to improve their software.
