Or even more....Assuming Meng is extradited to the US, the two Canadian will most likely not see daylight?  China will definitely not release them as long as Meng is in prison in the US. Has the Canadian government not though of this?

For me only one thing our primister did well.... Is when he wore the Indian outfits and doing the Hollywood dance.
On the other hand, he lectured the Chinese leaders about women right on his first visit to China. He was totalement bouffon.
More drama than political.

Donald Trump holds the key for solutions.
Remember many months back ??
"There's deal if China willing for Ms Meng"

In typical hypocrisy, hideous crimes were often perpetrated in the name of democracy.

Given the background and circumstances leading to her arrest, the detention of Ms Meng Wanzhou was at best arbitrary.

History is tainted with unpleasant memories of the U.S. resorting to underhand tactics, including the fabrication of unsubstantiated allegations to justify economic sanctions, or waging wars and annihilation of helpless nations. Deceptive strategies had often been deployed, against both adversaries and allies, premised on the impulsive belief that, to sustain U.S.’s hegemonic global dominance, the end will justify the means.

This guise is best exemplified by Mike Pompeo’s outrageous and disgraceful declaration that, “We lied, we cheated, we stole.”

Meng Wenzhou’s incident is a case in point. Washington had indeed made poor disguise of its real motivation in using Ms Meng as a “bargaining chip” in its self declared trade war against China.

Canada was just obsequious and foolish enough to be used as a pawn subservient to the United States — acting like it is a vassal state.

It is equally clear that Canada was too trigger happy the moment they had received a ‘request’ to detain Meng Wanzhou, they detained her without trial. That to begin with, is in contravention of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; that is, the right to presumption of innocence (Article 11), and the ban on arbitrary detention (Article 9).

Especially so, when Meng wasn’t even indicted with any offence in the United States, much less in Canada, at that material time.

So true Linda G. Time for Canada to stop doing the USA’s bidding on many issues. Our governments have always been , so corrupt , for so long, that it almost seems normal. Our country , should be ashamed of our government, (for the last 60 years.)

Canada kidnapped Ms. Meng Wanzhou at the Airport for the US.
And you still shamelessly and repeatedly mention the Rule of Law.

When you sign up to play Bounty Hunter, you assume all the goodies that comes with that role. When you arrest a foreign citizen on a Bounty request, you did so, irregardless of right and wrong, and despite oppositions (effectively throwing up the middle finger). It is wise for Canada to acknowledge that she threw the first punch instead of playing, and actually believing she’s, the victim - strange things happen when you sour relationships (no surprises here).

Bunch of liars. So much for independent judiciary. Now we all know it is politics and Canada is with the US in their Cold War with China. Using wishy washy laws to target political rivals is not justice, it is politics. Ian Bremmer’s hypocrisy is shameful. So, it ok to sacrifice Canadians for US politics.

Canada desperately needs politicians and senior government officials to run Canada for Canadians. Move away from USA interference STOP being told what to do by a foreign country that does not have Canada Intrest   only there own.
