Here it is the Complete wold famous BBC TV special from 1963 September by Nat King cole in HD resolution.
I gave a little high and low pass with Equalizer to the sound and then I normalised it to max volume. Unfortunatelly Nat's voice is still sounds indirectly, but it's the technician's mistake who forgot to stick a hidden microphone on his suite before the show started. I also gave a more strength to the picture too... A little sharpness and a little detail enhancer for more detail, maybe a little too much of them. But I hope the result won't get dissapointed anyone.
Hope you'll like it, cause I do. Honestly he's my all time favorite singer and performer.

Oh dear. Going back 50 years. Where have they gone. Nat brings back some of the best years in my life. Unsurpassed in his time. Music for all tastes, beautifully performed. Thank you Nat. I bet you are sitting round a piano with Frank, Sammy, Dean, as well as Matt Monro, who in my humble opinion is up there with you all. Thank you again Nat for being special. R.I.P.

Thank you for posting this. For me still just about the best male jazz vocalist ever! What a voice. Such depth, and richness, so smooth yet gravely. Impeccable timing and cool too. And what a pianist. And o think he suffered some outrageous racism even at (and I guess because of) his highest popularity. Just like Sammy Davis he seemed to (outwardly at least) just ride it with impeccable dignity. Classy guy!

Nat "King" Cole is not only a great singer, but a gentleman. In addition, he can play the piano and other musical instruments, has sang and recorded in other languages. I am a proud collector of his LP's albums.

I'm sorry but he's one of God's Angels sent down to entertain us, hidden in human form for only 45 yrs and then ascended.
This man was not human with such a Supernatural Divine voice.
No way, No Freakin way. I'm sure many will agree with me.
I mean such a voice didn't belong in this realm.
God just lend him to us for such a short period of time and it's really unfair.

And just to think, he was also one of the greatest jazz pianists who ever laid fingers on a keyboard. What a musical master.

A great artist maybe the greatest of the greatest generation. kept from a regular network program because of the BIGOTED attitudes of the time. The southern US blocked attempts for a regular Nat King Cole show. He left us all to soon. I'm so glad the BBC did this show.

Vas,
In 1963 when this show was broadcast, I am almost positive that the wearable microphone had not yet been invented. They used overhead "boom" microphones unless the performer was using a handheld microphone.

Definitely one of the finest voices in the history of recorded music. I grew up listening to his albums. A human treasure. True story: I had a speed metal band in the mid 80's that rehearsed in L.A. at a studio just off Melrose. One evening during a short break between our horrible songs, we heard knocking on our door. It was Natalie Cole, who unbeknownst to us had just began rehearsals in the large back room usually reserved for top tier acts. I was shocked, and apologized for our extremely loud volume which I was sure was bleeding out into the hallway of the studio. She said "Oh no, you guys are amazing! I was listening to you. Your drummer's a machine! I 've never heard anything like this!" She was an angel! She invited us to hang out and listen to her rehearsal, help ourselves to her catered meal table, and even invited us to come see her in Vegas. I hugged her and told her that though I knew who she was and loved her voice, I really adored her father and told her that I felt that he was untouchable. I shed a tear and shared a smile with her. We were too freaked out and intimidated to actually hang with her and her musicians. I regret not doing so. I would have chatted about Nat all night! R.I.P. Nat and Natalie <3
