I wish they would let Noam Chomsky speak in the main stream media.   They are so afraid of him they will not even mention his name in the NY Times.

I hope he will receive a full state funeral.
... but, instead, his death will be just briefly reported.
It will be up to the people to honor his life by coming out on the streets to say a last goodbye to a great man.

Even though he’s one of the most quoted people in history, he still takes the time to reply to meager-ole-me’s emails. Top-notch human being right there.

Jeff Bezos explained his success just like Chomsky does here. Everything that Amazon needed was already there and nothing new had to be invented but has not really been grateful for the spendings in the public sector making this possible. Maybe it should be. Chomsky has such an interesting perspective on things.

Sort of, but looked at another way all those things are there for everybody to take advantage of, but only a select few are smart enough to put them together and build a successful business. If a carpenter builds a beautiful house, or an artist some magnificent piece of art, do they deserve no credit because they didn't "make" wood, hammers, paint and canvas or whatever?

Interesting or honest? I guess that depends on one's position in the market.

David Mock But Chomsky’s point is that it was government spending that created the ingredients for the profitable private business, and so it’s a special form of capitalism that’s at work, not pure capitalism.  Picking some winning technology certainly takes skill, and considerable investment, but is nothing like the same as 30 years of funding a research program.

Im very happy Chomsky prefaced his comments with "we dont have capitalist societies, we have state capitalist societies". He should tell that to the hordes of online socialist trolls.

@SDPRZ :They are in denial about Global Warming and their failed foreign policies have destabilized the entire Middle-East. They are a living example of the failure and foolishness of American Nationalism. I could go on but I wont. Dr Chomsky is 100% correct!

Carnosaur1101 Like I said I understand the evils of the Republican Party, but to say it’s the most dangerous organisation in HUMAN HISTORY is quite ignorant of a lot of human history, some of the atrocities committed by certain groups and ideologies are literal genocides so to say the party of Abraham Lincoln is the most dangerous organisation is just a straight up lie but I do see where Chomsky is coming from and his knowledge is far beyond mine so maybe he meant it in another way because Noam is definitely not idiotic enough to actually believe that statement literally

@SDPRZ :They are no longer Lincoln's party and have not been for over 50 years. When you you are a major political party in the most powerful and influential country in the world and you support a set of policies that threaten the existence of life in general on this planet, that is much worse then genocide against a group of people

@Carnosaur1101 Almost any policy can be said to "threaten the existence of life in general on this planet". Yes republicans stance on global warming is alarming to say the least but have a little empathy and see where it's coming from, most Republicans have jobs in spaces like coal mining where global warming laws threaten their livelihoods so we shouldn't just call them crazy and say they're evil, we should try to provide them other options so they can afford to deal with global warming laws because the job market in those southern areas is in dire need of change. Also, Democrats are no good either, when it comes to foreign policy, Democrats are in no place to criticize Republicans especially when Obama dropped an insane amount of drone strikes in one year, more than Bush did in his entire two terms and lets not even begin on the Clintons. Anyway, let's get back to the original argument, my point was that the republican party are in no way the most dangerous organization in all of human history, they're not even the most dangerous organization on the planet right now, that title probably goes to religion (arguably). Even though the republicans stance on climate change will harm us greatly, it still won't affect climate change as much as Saudi Arabia, UAE and their chase for oil or General motors addiction to gasoline cars and unwillingness to move forward so even in that regard they're not "the most dangerous organization" on the planet. So I do still think that's an outrageous that cannot be backed by any logic or reasoning but please do because I still can not fathom how Chomsky a man or reason can say such a thing. I can barely wrap my head around it.
