Im a physicist and I personally noticed that China has really accelerated their condensed matter research. Around half of he scientific journals that I read related to condensed matter had research conducted in China.

I have to say, i have listened many year about too much bias talks upon China, the main stream media, you name it. Well, this author is very objective and non bias. it is really hard to hear this type of talk in USA. Great job.

I don't know how old you are. If America has more forward thinking minds like yours, America will be great again.

He's right. Just because you don't hear about it here in US doesn't mean it doesn't exist elsewhere. WeChat is a great example. WeChat makes all the other messaging apps lacking. Even Google and Facebook are copying WeChat. Like what the video said, whoever dominates the digital world dominates the global economy. That's why China is jumping ahead with the quantum communication/computer. It was a joke about a year or two years ago for congress to block the sales of Intel Xeon chips to China for their super computer. Guess what? They developed their own chip and now the fastest computer in the world has 100% Chinese parts. As a result Intel laid of 16,000 globally.

Great video. I enjoy watching it and hear how you combine all the pieces of information into a bigger picture. Not many in the US realize it. While I was living there, most people I know on campus are still holding the old perspective on China. I lot people seems to think China is the same country as it was 20 years (or longer) ago. I went back every year. I can still feel the huge change done within one single year. Even as my Chinese definition of "speed", it is still really impressive and fast. We need more educated and openminded people in both countries really try to understand each other, and make a better world.
