Just lot of west bashing. Come on. Both indian and chinese media are just teaching their audience to bury head in the sand. As a Indian I would prefer we first develop and fix our own house and let it speak for ourselves instead of just constant west bashing. If we are better than the west than we just need to provide one tenth of what western people have and just be nice to each other and we would be considered "developed". We are not there yet. India and china cannot even sit at same table and not be suspicious of each other. China is still in land grab self-grandoising mode and using BRICS to develop its own one-party personal Asian UN. India is just insecure and already badly beaten up by terrorism,poverty,corruption with millenium of abuse by people it let in and trusted. First, India and China just need to sign a no-war pact stop abusing each other, pool their military and economic resources, let people to people contact flourish and remove all restrictions (especially china with its crazy censure on freedom religion,expression,internet etc) then both country can criticize the west which has been more open to indians and chinese than india and china has ever been with each other in the last 500 years.

Liu Xin is the best anchor on CGTN and her civil conversation with Peter Lavalle was good to watch. Peter loves to take on the US media and politicians and he uses his voice on RT to the maximum. Liu is very cultured and well informed and rightly expects more respect for a new China. Clearly this is the Asian century and hence Russia's tilt to the Pacific. if China is not seen as bully and is able to forge consensus, Asians will rightfully deserve a seat at the table at every western forum

Wow ! This is the first time I listened to Liu Xin and the 'Point'. I am blown away by how impressive she is both as a journalist and a communicator ! She is awesome ! Surely I hope Foxtel (cable news in Australia) airs CGTN on its cable platforms and CGTN maks it easier to get it online. Keep up the good work CGTN :)

thanks peter you're great but you have to understand we in the west have been brainwashed against russia all our lives. i'm very angry about that, because it's only thanks to the internet that i'm learning they are really wonderful and brilliant people, and i would love to visit there. americans have been told all their life they are exceptional, so what does that do to average persons ego. hitler did the same thing in germany and look what happened there. things won't change as long as the americans go along with the crap they've been taught.

I agree with most of this guy points, but I disagree when it comes to confederate statues. Confederate statues should be in museums or on private property, not on public streets where black Americans taxes paying dollars partially pay for the up keep. Germany doesn't have statues to Hitler, America doesn't have statues or monuments honoring Benedict Arnold so we should not have statues honoring confederate traitors as well. One more thing, I know of Hitler, Genghis Khan, Julius Caesar, Attila the hun and many more historical figures and didn't need a statue to tell me their story, just a book. Now when they start burning historical books I'll be one the first to give my voice in protest.
