There are those who argue that the emergence of China on the global stage has geopolitical implications and poses major challenges to the global order. Canada is one of those countries that wonder what will become of its relations with China given the ongoing tensions. In this video, we answer the following: 1) Will Canada-China relations survive? 2) Did the US act morally right when targeting Meng Wanzhou, Huawei writ large? 3) Did Canada act as an accomplice? 4) Can China justify the arrests of the two Michaels? One thing is sure: The Meng case will soon be resolved one way or another. Will Canada-China relations get back on track? Let this be a good lesson for Canadian diplomacy in the future, I say! William Langley William Langley 9 hours ago Quote: “If the United States says do this, what choice does Canada have?” Does that mean that Canada is not a sovereign nation? 79 C'mon Man C'mon Man 9 hours ago Kidnapping Meng was state-sponsored abduction; of course this is against international law, unless you consider the US laws, which is also broken in this case but of course the US establishment is good at modifying/interpreting US laws however they like, as has always been the case, to be “international law”. 63 tomiputra l tomiputra l 10 hours ago (edited) This video is so informative, and making Canadian custody and RCMP very despicable. Every country and VIP person should avoid using or transiting to Canada. As their rights will be step and abolished by them for another country :( 104 G Asia G Asia 9 hours ago There will be no meeting of president Xi and Biden until this case is settled. Trudeau has contributed a chapter of dark history to Canada. 104 Beware of the Leaven of the USA Beware of the Leaven of the USA 7 hours ago (edited) Trudeau is planning to send Ms Meng to a Roman Catholic boarding school where an unnamed and unmarked plot is waiting. 31 Ketut Adhi Utama Ketut Adhi Utama 9 hours ago in fact, with so many excuses the main reason and purpose is to blockade Huawei and the Canadian being a faithful vassal of US do what her master instruct. This will be a bad jurisprudence and badly effect China-Canada relationship. The Chinese will keep this in mind. 61 Johnnie Walker Johnnie Walker 9 hours ago Even water can’t cleanse politics. As a Canadian, this is another shameful chapter. 94 Gilles Milaire Gilles Milaire 8 hours ago (edited) I always enjoy listening to Richard Kurland discuss the human rights violations in regards to Mrs Mengs arrest. I certainly understand that he has to say something against China otherwise he will be blacklisted on Canadian MSM but I wish he would stop saying silly things about the two Michaels or pretend that China's reputation will be tarnished when it is Canada's and the USA's reputations that are literally in the toilet. Regardless of the critique Richard Kurland is a great guest and he is courageous to expose the incompetence and corruption of the Canadian and American governments. Suggestion for a future guest would be the research professor Lyle J. Goldstein of China Maritime Studies Institute (CMSI) at the US Naval War College. I think Lyle would be a great guest for your show. 26 G Asia G Asia 9 hours ago (edited) The Chinese already had what they need to arrest those two Canadians even before the Mdm Meng case came into picture. 43 Whaikura Tuhaka Whaikura Tuhaka 9 hours ago (edited) The new world based rule order has changed the rule of law for their own purposes, an agreement between two parties does not make it a rule of law, double standard that makes Donald Trump the biggest loser again
