John Connors John Connors 2 days ago Agreed, Dr. Wolff “we can do better than capitalism” and I think starting with the democratization of the work place is a great idea! 21 Grigori Razumovski Grigori Razumovski 2 days ago A great man. Great man. If more academic people would have the will and the need for truth..if only. But professor Wolff is a gem in the swirling pile of "oh the good old days (that never were)" - type of rhetoric and economist hellscape of "look at the numbers and thing how much of these numbers you could have in your pocket." Type of thing. 15 Mitch A Mitch A 2 days ago Hedges says we are now in late-stage capitalism...the worst stage on all! 14 MetaView7 MetaView7 2 days ago Capital always flow toward cheap labor. He sounds like a subversive try to quell the pesants, and stop the truth from coming out trying to cover the ears of the people so they don't hear ! . I hope someone put him out of the room so we can hear sense and what to do to put right that's wrong for everyone and the planet . Go prof wolf speaking truth too fact. 3 R C R C 2 days ago I can't for the life of me figure out how Richard has yet to create a worker owned business, if not to create a movement that helps to prove the possibility and success in democratization of business. Actions always speak louder than words. With his connections he make this happen and drive a ton of interest given his following. 2 Jose Lopez Jose Lopez 2 days ago What is the answer capitalism? The answer is a taboo word in the United States (US). It is socialism. Capitalism and democracy are incompatible. Socialism and democracy are compatible. This is why the 1% of US citizens have made socialism a bad word! The 99% of us must wake up, and insist that the US become a real democracy. The 1% will fight us, so expect to engage in permanent resistance now tomorrow and forever. Capitalisms is a racket! 8 Frisbieinstein Frisbieinstein 2 days ago Trapped in an unstable capitalism! 11 H R H H R H 1 day ago "Capitalism is unstable, capitalism is unequal and capitalism is undemocratic." Woah! As a statement, that is pretty damning. And, we only have the evidence of repeated history and our own eyes as proof of the truth of that statement. 1 NolanEP NolanEP 1 day ago (edited) How about "dangers of socialism," because, you know, there's no examples of those... The fact is that it's not really about the system name, it's about how people operate. No matter what system you have, if corruption gets to high, bad things happen. 4 Slamma Jamma Slamma Jamma 2 days ago Please, please, please let us move forward to a democratization of the work place now. I’m so sick of being at the mercy of sociopaths who deserve no respect. There is a better way & don’t let bullying assholes tell you any different. 3 Nathaniel Hellerstein Nathaniel Hellerstein 21 hours ago "Democratizing the workplace" equals "worker's control of the means of production". PRESTO PRESTO 1 day ago Why is only Socialism option for capitalism ....cant you invent something NEW ?!? 3 kaxitaksi kaxitaksi 2 days ago (edited) It's dying as we speak. Just take away the life support and let it die so we can go better.. 5 Marq Goldberg Marq Goldberg 2 days ago (edited) QUESTION If you took half of the assets from the richest and distributed it among the "lesser classes" could the planet sustain the esulting increase in consumption? 1 Jeff Herringa Jeff Herringa 1 day ago Unions have some influence. Unfortunately, many of their leaders are in league with Neoliberal Democrats at the DNC. Most of these people don't like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or other politicians trying to reform the national party corporate ideology.
