“Cooperation is not cowardice, as American conservatives repeatedly claim,” wrote Jeff Sachs in a February 2021 article (https://www.jeffsachs.org/newspaper-a...). “Both the US and China have much to gain from it: peace, expanded markets, accelerated technological progress, the avoidance of a new arms race, progress against COVID-19, a robust global jobs recovery, and a shared effort against climate change.”
In other recent articles, Sachs argued that the Xinjiang genocide allegations are unjustified (https://www.jeffsachs.org/newspaper-a...) and that the recent US/China agreement to cooperate on climate change is an important and welcome development (https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/20210...).
Jeffrey Sachs is University Professor and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University. He is one of the world’s leading experts on sustainable development, economic development, and the fight against poverty. He chairs The Lancet’s COVID-19 commission
His most recent books are A New Foreign Policy: Beyond American Exceptionalism (2018) and Building the New American Economy: Smart, Fair, and Sustainable (2017).

China and Russia's tolerance of America's goading rhetoric just show 's how mature, and noble all countries not involved in this childish ignorant behaviour are,and desirous of peace.

The best I have heard...what an intelligent human being...one that could help the U.S. into the future. But the U.S. is only focused on destroying others. That is all.

One thing is to throw insults, provocations and sanctions, another is to lose to China in every field and aspect. Now is coming out stupid with all US has ever said and done. I'm sure China would be thrilled with the idea of co-operation.

The return of investment of a trillion spent in Afghanistan is appallingly sad for a country takes pride in capitalism. Maybe the military should hire more economists than military strategists.

Sachs' calling Zbigniew Brzezinski's idea (starting at minute 2:02) of pushing the Russians into Afghanistan "a typical hairbrained CIA scheme..." was priceless. Not sure Mika will be very happy to see her dead dad disparaged. LOL.

To the dude talking about Xingxiang, I suggest that he reads Ajit Singh's article in the Grayzone

The way the money was divvied up in Afghanistan (starting at minute 3:31) is a lot like the way the "infrastructure bill," just passed by Congress, will be divvied up here in the US: less than 2% will go to infrastructure, the rest will go to a variety of pork, privatization projects, and graft . . .
It's not just foreign policy that's a debacle; domestic policy is a debacle as well.

Perhaps the Chinese should lead all talks by asking the US about Detroit, wealth gap, and racial discord.... But they're too polite.

All different of drugs are made by China for different medical purpose, China government doesn't export the drugs officially, all of the drugs in US are imported by US citizens voluntarily.
