The UK has suspended its extradition treaty with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region further inflaming tensions with China. This follows criticism of the new national security law and announcement to ban Chinese tech firm Huawei from its 5G network by 2027. Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom Liu Xiaoming said, "The UK should have an independent foreign policy, rather than to dance to the tune of the Americans." But with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on a two-day visit to the UK, will Prime Minister Boris Johnson be pressured to pull away from Beijing?

The reason for the UK and the US suspending the extradition treaty is simple: they have to grant political asylum to the guys they paid for the coup attempt. It's part of the deal.

The UK has had a long and sad tradition of being bullied by the US.

Britain is one of the most obsequious nations on Earth (together with Australia). They both do whatever the US tells them to do.

On the extradition treaty with the UK the Chinese authorities should be glad with such a generous gift. They can export their most dangerous and unwanted criminals to the UK via Hong Kong without getting them back. Nothing to be angry about.

The three of them were trying their best to hide their laughter all along. Great effort from them.

The US has the UK completely twisted round its little finger. What a shame! Is it still worthy to be called the Great Britain?

It is impolite to cut the guests off while they are speaking.
