The Banana Republic of America (BRA) was perfectly happy to exploit the slave labour of the Chinese population for 40 years to provide American companies wildly obscene profits over the same period. Nobody was concerned about the terrible working conditions the Chinese had to bear to ensure the sustained profitability of those companies. As the Prof rightly pointed out, the Chinese were prepared to endure those conditions in exchange for the agreed upon transfer of technology to them in the process. That was the deal. For the BRA to now allege and accuse the Chinese of having ""stolen" technology from the west , in addition to using slave Uyghur labour etc etc, is nothing short of confirming what a cheap bunch of politicians that the BRA has running the country. Absolutely no shame and no self pride at all. That's why it is the Banana Republic that it is.
