According to reports from Canada's local press agencies, Trudeau's government had been informed in advance several days before her stopover in Canada.
The international warrant to arrest Meng Wanzhou was issued on the 22nd of August, 2018, and in three months, between the date when the warrant was issued in the US and her arrest in Canada, she visited or passed by a lot of other countries like Britain, Ireland, France and Japan, to name a few only. None of those countries, which are also the US allies with mutual extradition obligations with the United States, took any actions against her.

Canada has become not only a tool of the US but specifically a tool of that ‘Pathological Liar’ Trump. What an embarrassment!

When a bank set a customer up for commercial gain, that is a crooked bank and has to be avoided by present and future customers even though China did not ban the bank for doing business there.

As a legal practitioner, one of the defence can also be the veracity of the Power Point Presentation. Who authored it and has it been doctored since? The case is definitely full of holes and poorly mounted as usually such political cases are. So sad that they want to thwart the consolidation of this company which incidentally practised workers' participation as most of the shareholdings belong to those who worked there. So stupid as if the case is dropped Meng Wanzhou can sue them for false imprisonment and include HSBC as a joint defendant. The payout could be huge considering that she has been "imprisoned" for close on two years now.
