Huawei, the world’s largest telecom company, has now more than 60 commercial 5G contracts outside China, and is poised to get many more. My discussion with John Sitilides, geopolitical strategist at Trilogy Advisors, takes place at the height of a 5G deployment war between China and the United States.

One thing I've noticed, after watching many vids of this channel, Simone Gao really knows great questions to ask of her interviewees. She is one intelligent journalist who truly understand the subject matter in question.

This is all about the money to be made. If Huawei succeeds then American business looses, big time, and vice versa.

Angela Merkel was tired of the US tapping into her phone calls; US White house had clear Huawei before.  The rest is propanganda.

The Chinese already bought up Giggle Fiber a local Los Angeles internet service provider. Arcadia has a lot of Chinese people that might already be spied on.

In case of 5G, would you imagine the developing countries and the wars torn countries created by the U S and her Allies, like Africa, the Middle East and Latin America countries have 5G earlier than them, then it would be very interesting.

The US has spent 7.4 Trillion on wars of late. That is why you are behind in 5g and IoT. The US thought they could command the World with weapons. Maybe big mistake.

There are two MODEL of governance: Western Democracy and China CCP. There no right or wrong here, but Model that serve the country and its people Wins. Model that only benefited the corporates and neglecting the general public and lack of Infrastructure improvement are a BAD model. Regardless of models everyone should respect the countries law. That way everyone benefits.

The benefit of technology theft! Europeans have never been particularly smart when it comes to protecting their people from enemies.

In the U. S. we are very proud of our "Innocence until proven guilty" rights. But in the case of Huawei, it is always  "Guilty until proven innocence".
The U.S. government has broken into Huawei's internal servers but still can't find any proof on Huawei's spying attempts. That's the reason many Europeans don't buy this argument.

Why not jump straight into 7Gs, since Huawei already started 6G. Remove the IP laws, u may need to steal now.

I seem to remember the case the EU (Brussels) made against the US. A while ago, the US used backdoor technology to spy on European countries (remember the US reading Merkel's emails?). These shadow games can be entertaining. The US already did in Europe what they now accuse Huawei of possibly intending to do. The voice of experience?

I see...Simone is saying the US doesn't directly have 5G technology.  However, the US has been working with other countries technologies like Nokia & Ericsson for decades and we trust these companies because we trust their governments.

If you think Huawei is a security risk, you have no clue you're being monitored and controlled in the U.S. with Apple and Android systems, do you?

The CCP subsidizing Huawei is not acceptable.
The US subsidizing Nokia and Ericson is acceptable. Go figure this hypocritical western logic.

China has waited 100 years, I’m sure they’ll hold out another decade or two until a liberal socialist gets into the White House—- the danger remains as long as the CCP remain in control of the Chinese people!
