Nurses have been talking about how bad "managed" care is for decades, nobody listened. Frontline workers, doing menial cleaning jobs have long been seen as less worthy, how do you feel about those folks NOW? I sure hope this wakes the masses but I'm not optimistic, I hope the comfy upper middle class enjoys taking care of their own kids, house, laundry, yards, shopping for a change, it will do them good!
Edit: we can't care for our people but manage to keep waging war, incredible!

"Hospitals are being delivered" he said. As if his imagination tells him we've got big giant helicopters carrying hospitals around, and then that's what it is. We should shower him with gold for his beneficence... I'd facepalm right now but we can't touch our face!! WTF is this bunch still doing sitting in our White House taking up space for!? It's a rhetorical question. I'm sure most of us know that answer. I wish Democracy Now would get more on the side of what we do about it. There's some of that, but we need to step up our game because we are losing our people big time. "Strike now, and here's how we do it..." That's what I want to see.

So many people rely on their employers health and life insurance plans. It's extremely sad that so many are left without health and life insurance and are now experiencing extremely high medical costs and no income replacement after the loss of a loved one. A hard lesson many are learning not to rely on those plans. We NEED universal health.

We hear a lot of "do I save the healthy 40 year old batchelor/ette, the 45 year old parent of three or the 65 year old" scenarios for potential upcoming triage situations.

I suspect there's going to be a lot of "this person has no insurance, save everyone but them" coming soon to an ICU near you.
