Beijing is giving Washington a  concession in the trade talks: regulations that would level the playing field for foreign companies in China. But there are doubts about Beijing’s true commitment to opening its market.

This should be taken with a cup full of salt it's Highly doubtful the communists will play ball with American companies since they are challenging American hegemony all over the world.

I believe the previous Chinese approach was "tech in exchange of market". Transferring of technology is a part of the deal if you want to enter the China market, and those international corps all know and agree to it when they chose to enter the market. So they can quit whining about China "stealing" their tech tbh

As an American who has lived and worked in China for nearly 10 years, I applaud China's new laws. And I am confident they will be fully implemented. The thing people don't always understand about China is it a big country of actually many cultures and languages. And oftentimes it takes time before this country/bureaucracy moves. But it does move especially in its best interests. And it is China's best interests to invite/have foreign firms operating in China. The Trade War has forced China move quicker to implement the reforms that were already it the works. Foreign Firms in the Financial Sector are seeing this a $9 Billion in annual profits market place alone according to Bloomberg.

A leader will take responsibility of one's own action.
A successful one will see crisis as an opportunity and strive to solve the problem.
A loser will always blame others for one's woes.
A good for nothing will always cry and whine when things does not go one's way.
What type of personality do u or a country has?

3:56 Yes you said it. It's always a win-win (only!) for Beijing. The CCP does not know how to play fair, they are complete liars and cannot be trusted. The best thing that foreign governments and companies can do is completely leave and isolate China until they are ruled by a government with at least rule of law and freedom of expression.

It doesn't matter. Foreign companies never stopped investing in China or outsourcing to China even when it is blatantly unethical. Economy rules over everything else be it law or fairness.

Something is off with this report. If China’s nominal GDP was $6 trillion in 2010, China already doubled its economy by 2017 as that year’s number is $12.156 trillion.

I think this trade-war will become a norm. As the import tariffs become a permanent set up. Companies and factories have already moved out of China, it is unlikely those businesses will come back unless China bend over 180 deg backwards to please investors to come back.

It’s funny to me that everyone is skeptical when you asked for a protection on ip and they made progress. Don’t ask in the first place if you can’t trust the outcome. Ridiculous how ppl get brainwashed on the ideology of commie. Anyone with adequate education in economics should realize these are simply explained in economics theories. They were meant to happen

2:41 When WSJ says that China wants to double its GDP from 2010 until 2020, the WSJ forgot to mention that China has already achieved that target in 2018. At least, one should give accurate info.
