Hong Kong Police say they will fully investigate the death of a university student who reportedly fell from a building during clashes between police and protesters.
Demonstrators have made a memorial and have been holding a vigil near the site where the student was found. The events leading up to the incident are unclear, but it's believed the student fell from a multi-storey car park after police fired tear gas during a protest last weekend. The student was taken to the hospital, but later died.

That's the consequence for being violent.  He is responsible for his own death.

He was just a rioting troublemaker who died of his own accident at the protest! Come on, more than 500 protesters had been killed in Iraq, Bolivia, Ecuador, Lebanon, and Chile just in the past few weeks. The rioting and wanton violence had been going on in Hong Kong for 5 months now and this is only the first casualty! What police brutality?

He fell and died due to recklessness and the "protest" (riot) movement are too embarrassed to admit the fact. In trying to to cover up a tragic comedy that is still unfolding, these whining cowards and spoiled brats are pointing fingers at police to move attention away from their own shame, and even now playing out an amateurish drama out of this. These immature drama kings and drama queens!

If these rioters dared to do what they have been doing in USA, all of them would have been shot dead by the police or national guards.

Look, you go rioting, vandalizing train stations , public facilities and people's shops, setting fires, beating up people and even trying to kill the police. Then you fall to your death. And you blame others for your death?

For the damage Joshua Wong has done to Hong Kong, inciting riots,
vandalism, mindless property destruction, he should be in jail, not being given interview time.  The  ‘fallen one’ most probably slipped while throwing a petrol bomb or smashing the CCTV camera.

The truth is that boy wanted to attack the policeman, and he fell down from building by himself carelessly. DW please tells your People real story.

NOTE: DW gave Joshua Wong air time to deliver his "Anti-China" speech on his sponsored International tour.  He returned to HK to start riots. Now DW giving a biased report favoring the Terrorists and suggesting an investigation of HK Police. Shameful reporting, DW!

after Xi came to HK and supported Carrie, more violent, brutal, riot police hurt and kill people. There is a lot of mobs, undercover polices from PLA. More blood and lives for HK people. This is the dumb CCP, Carrie, riot police destroy HK and kill the young HK generation. Be strong and unite, never give up your hope. Stand and support HK. GOD BLESS HK.

the student died from his head injuries after he felled from a car park.  what was he doing in a carpark?  even if they saved him, he would be a total waste (vegetable) to himself, his family, and society.  if he doesn't own a car.  they should charge him with trespassing.

Hong Kong rioters should honor him with more wannabe 'superman'.  natural selection at work.

Police didn't even fired tear gas according to CCTV lol,  the death still mysterious. These protesters just blamed HK police for the cause and western media supported that blame.

What have the police got to do with this story at all? Unless DW has evidence, it is an irresponsible statement to link the police dispersion of rioters at another location with the tragic event of this student. Reporter should not be repeating unfounded allegations. Still these delusional rioters are trying to milk the tragic demise of this student for their own selfish interest by spreading hatred and false allegations.

ohhh my God, one protester fell and died, got more media coverage than school bus bombing by Saudi arabia and killed 51 children under the age 10, or starvation of million of Yemenis by the blockage of their ports by Saudi and UAE.  The hypocrisy of these media are high.

If the police are scrupulously honest and open with the investigation and take appropriate action against the culprit (if any) regardless of who it is they can start to win hearts and minds back.

If these rioters hate China so much and are ashamed to be Chinese, and would rather be British or Americans (since they like to carry  UK/American flags and sing UK/American national anthems), why don't they  just migrate to UK/USA, and leave Hongkong alone?  So stop destroying Hongkong!

No evidence can proof his death is not an accident. No one knows why he was there at that time, no police in the garage, no tear gas in the garage, police started the search in the garage after the firemen found him lying on second floor after the incident.  The police is just passing by.

RIP young fella. Based on local news , it is unknown whether he was chased by the police. Tear gas.was fired but at a location more than a 100m away. It is a bit of a mystery right now. So we are still waiting for the latest info.
Mourning turns to anger and hatred, terrorists are out vandalizing at various districts.
