Venezuela’s polarization has made it very difficult to understand at times what’s really happening in the country.
The economy has fallen into massive hyperinflation rising to almost a million percent. Could this political turmoil worsen Venezuela’s situation?
We wanted to talk to someone who knows the country well. Alex Main is Director of International Policy at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) here in Washington. He’s been following developments and also lived in Venezuela for many years.
