If the general public wont watch, hopefully policy makers will. It is important that law and norms keep all future technology on the correct path. Iot, autonomous vehicles- these should be within the reasonable control of the user, and not be used to harass him. Imagine self driving cars being pulled over simply by a pressing a button in a police vehicle, in an authoritarian state, or simply a racist county. Correct action is needed for outcomes desirable to friends of rational liberty, and law is the form it will take.﻿

Thanks for the video. Curiously this was the only video I could find using search of his presentation of his yearly letter. It was strange to listen to Soros, a globalist, and agree with everything he said other than his rhetoric of Trump. I thought Sorors would love love love China. They are Communist Globalists too. Well, if mr.Soros truly have the best interest of Chinese people at heart I would support him.  In principal I do support more equality and freedom for all people.  However, I lived in the west for a very long time.  I have personally witnessed and been a victim of racism that is so prevalent in the west.  Asian men are castrated by the media, I was victim of a racist white old man in my previous position.  If open society truly care about Chinese people why dont they start treating Chinese in the west better?  The people in China are suspicious of west because of all the horrible things they hear from their relatives living in the west.  Not to mention the west's support of Chinese separatism which are fronted by "HongKong" and "Taiwanese" people who hate Chinese on a personal level, where to the point these people will go out of their way to offend and look down on Chinese.  Their pro-western stance is lumped with hatred for Chinese people.  Their hate for Chinese people and their love of the west at the sametime sends a strong message to Chinese people. The message is, if you are pro-west you are anti Chinese, as been demonstrated so often by these "HongKongers" and "Taiwanese".  So having these Anti-Chinese (on personal level) pro-western separatist is actually the opposite of what you want to present to the Chinese.  Chinese will only open up to friends, true friends.  If you solve the racism against Chinese in the west first, than people in China will trust you.  How can you trust someone who hates your brothers and sisters that lives with them?  Fetish for Chinese women and castration of Chinese men are the worst of these offenses.﻿
