The CIA, NSA, and FBI are accusing the Chinese government of using Huawei and ZTE phones to spy on Americans. The thing is, there's no hardcore evidence. Even though the company denied these allegations, they need to show their customers that their phones are safe to use.

Watching this on my 7x. I don't know if the Chinese are spying on me but I do know the US government is spying on me. There's no proof of the former but there's plenty of proof for the latter. As to the Chinese banning Facebook and Google, I totally agree with them considering how Facebook has behaved. I don't trust Google either, I noticed they dropped their motto 'Do no Evil' a few years back. Obviously it was just getting in the way.

It has nothing to do with if Huawei is ACTUALLY spying. It has to do with politics where the US doesn’t want a successful Chinese company to steal market share in the US.

I'm in the US with the mate 10 Pro... which was supposed to be Huawei's big entry to the US market, no carrier deals but they still had the big discount for pre-orders which I took advantage of, I like the phone quite a bit. I don't mind being spied on by the Chinese government it will be a nice change of pace from the NSA spying on me for a while.

"The CIA, NSA, and FBI". That is funny, considering they don't respect privacy and spy on people around the world.
Also, to this day, there is no proof that Huawei phones have a built-in spy tool. Just mere speculation by the U.S. government.
