A Remnant Website Video: This is an accompanying video to Dr. Jesse Russell's new Remnant article on a hopeful sign from this year's CPAC. "France is in the process of passing from the eldest daughter of the Catholic Church to the little niece of Islam"--so spoke Marion Marechal-Le Pen at CPAC. She's a veteran of the Chartres Pilgrimage in France and was educated in traditional Catholic schools. This rising star in French politics is no Jeanne d'Arc--at least not yet--but her words leave little doubt that all is not lost in France. She defends traditional family, national sovereignty, freedom and private property against the EU. No wonder she made lots of folks at CPAC nervous. Vive la France catholique! https://www.remnantnewspaper.com/web/...

There is a very real French movement towards its Catholic roots and political conservatism.
I don't want France to become America, I want it to become France again.
When we think of Catholic Western Europe being established, we think of Clovis and Clotilde,
Who turned the Muslim invasion of Europe back, Charles Martel.
Who created the Papal States with his own lands, Pepin.
We all know Charlemagne.
Who lead the Crusades that recaptured the Holy Lands and relieved Eastern Christians, Godfrey de Bouillon.
Who is the ideal of a Catholic Monarch, King St. Louis IX.
Who was one of the most miraculous saints in the history of the Church, St. Joan de Arc.
Where did Copernicus, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Albert the Great, and countless other of the greatest minds of Western Civiization study, the University of Paris.
Where did the deeply needed reform of the Church spring from at the turn of the last millennium, at the Benedictine Monastery of Cluny.
All of this is what France has been and what, with their perseverance, faith, and the blessings of God, she can become again.
May the Holy Spirit gift France the graces she needs to become the Holy Eldest Daughter of the Church again.

Dear Friends: Thanks so much for your comments and for visiting our channel. There are a couple of comments here that miss the point so completely, however, that we can't let them stand. There is a massive resistance movement going on France right now--perhaps the largest and most organized in the world. Clichéd shots at some snobby people who live in Paris, leveled by consumers of 'freedom fries' who have no idea how real the French Catholic resistance is, are not constructive. The Remnant has walked with tens of thousands of authentic French Catholics on pilgrimage for the past 27 years--from Paris to Chartres. We know them well. They are our brothers in arms, totally dedicated to the Kingship of Christ. This young lady is becoming acquainted with that movement. She has walked the pilgrimage to Chartres many times. She's not completely one of us yet but she's supporting a movement that certainly is, while, at the same time, acting as a leading light in the massive pro-family group, Manif pour Tous . There is a lot between the lines of this speech. Please, if all you want to do is bash "frogs" and "snail eaters" and secular French who hang out in Provence too much, can we ask that you do it on someone else's YouTube channel? Thank you.

Our founding fathers consider our nation to be made of thirteen sovereign countries (states), as Catholics we need to push the principle of subsidiary at every opportunity.

Dear fellow American Catholics, if you dream of a second Catholic president, start speaking like this Catholic.
Dear CPAC organizers, if it's not too awkward, can we please invite her back next year?
