I'm certain that the late Roland Dyens would very much enjoy this interpretation of his piece and that he would have a big smile on his face while elaborating on it after having listened to it. I love the clarity of the guitar and the recording: crisp and bright sounding. Of course, Ms. Caballero plays this piece beautifully. Those flurries of notes going up the neck are clean and fast as they should be and the tango element of the piece is always in the forefront. Terrific. GD

Roland said the piece should be played with maximum dynamics and minimum rubato. There are so many fantastic players out there that lose the dance element to this wonderful tune through elastic phrasing. I think that personal interpretation should come from tone and dynamics. That said, I'd still like to be able to play like Andrea.
