We're the ones electing these criminals into power. I, for one, cannot wait for the economy to collapse. Hopefully the chaos that ensues will bring an eventual uprising of justice and truth... probably not, tho. People will be begging for socialism after 3 weeks of bare shelves.

America is in decline and collapse because socialism does not work. We've suffered socialism for a century now. You can not get something for little or nothing. It eats itself. Our wages would be terrific if we had a free market. Once again we aren't living in a capitalist system. We're living in a socialist system now. We are enslaved to an oligarch that took control of our country in 1913. The depression of 1929 would have been similar to the depression of 1921 had government not inserted itself into the, then, free market and stolen our liberties. Don't believe these people. This is just more propaganda.

While it may be ‘sad’ that these issues caused the election of Trump, surely it would have been even ‘sadder’ if Clinton had been elected.  And Buffett never said he ‘paid less’ than his secretary.  He said he was in a lower tax bracket.  I think much of what Wolff says is very good, and they we certainly need an FDR type of system to be re-instituted, but there is also too much of an underlying ‘elite’ ideology going on here, as well.  People do not want ‘globalism’.  They want strong, individual countries, and that’s part of the issue.....

My Dad started building our home and family in the early 60s on $47.50 a week (I have his first pay stub). Try that today. I couldn't make it work with an Ivy League PhD and had to sell our family home of almost 60 years. Went bankrupt and the Unemployment Office said that, after 6 years of grad school, I should get "re-trained" for a shit job. Thanks, Mr Businessman.

Most people believe that capitalism is the only way almost like it is a religion. Anyone who says hey this is not working, maybe we need to look at alternatives is viewed as a blasphemer or a crackpot communist that wants to destroy democratic values. Did the founding fathers put the word capitalism in the Declaration of independence, or in the initial bill of rights? If it's there I have never seen it.
